Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara North

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product and process quality throughout manufacturing operations. This role develops inspection methods, monitors process performance, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality procedures

What a typical day looks like:

  • Develop and implement precise inspection methods to identify product and process anomalies.
  • Ensure compliance with dimensional, workmanship, and functional requirements specified by customers.
  • Support quality activities in painting, metal finishing, plastic molding, or automotive manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics, including Yield, DPPM, PDCA, and other performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Quality Control Plans (QCPs), Control Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in the development and implementation of sustainable and repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Drive process mapping, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Core Quality Tools such as APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and 8D to ensure process stability and product quality.
  • Evaluate corrective and preventive actions resulting from quality issues identified in manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Lead NCMR action plans and support 8D problem-solving and root cause analysis activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Participate in customer meetings, audits, and provide quality-related support as required.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (B1-B2 level), both written and verbal.
  • Experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in metal painting, automotive painting, plastics manufacturing, coatings, or related finishing processes.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Quality Tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and 8D.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience supporting customer complaints, audits, product launches, and process validation activities.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
