The Pre Sales Architect will own the end-to-end customer engagement cycle from initial discovery to proposal closure. The role works closely with Solution Architects for technical depth and with Sales for commercial alignment.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end AWS cloud architectures for migration, modernization, hybrid cloud, and managed services engagements.
- Lead technical discovery, cloud readiness assessments, and dependency mapping for enterprise workloads.
- Define migration strategies using the 6Rs framework — rehost, replatform, refactor, re-architect, retire, retain.
- Architect high availability, auto-scaling, disaster recovery, and security solutions aligned to customer SLAs.
- Design application migration paths including monolith to microservices, containerization, and Kubernetes adoption.
- Define database migration strategies for Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL workloads.
- Create HLD (High Level Design) and LLD (Low Level Design) documents for proposed solutions.
- Support presales engagements as technical SME — solution defence, architecture review, and technical Q&A.
- Present architecture solutions and technical value propositions to CIOs, CTOs, and technical review boards.
- Collaborate with PreSales Architects for techno-commercial proposals, BOMs, and solution documentation.
- Work closely with delivery teams post-sale for architecture handover and implementation guidance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct POCs and architecture workshops to validate proposed solutions.
- Develop reusable architecture patterns, reference architectures, and solution accelerators.
- Contribute to internal competency building, certifications, and cloud practice development.
- Stay updated on AWS new services, Well-Architected best practices, and emerging cloud trends.
- Collaborate with AWS partner teams for technical alignment, MDF programs, and joint solutioning.
