Principal Investigator - ArchaeologistLocation: Kinney, TX, on-siteFull-time MUST HAVE:Master’s Degree from an accredited school in anthropology or a closely related fieldMust meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Qualification Standards for Archaeologists5+ years of experience? (CRM experience preferred)At least 3 of those years need to involve leadership positions.Familiarity with Section 106 of the National Heritage Preservation Act and with the Antiquities Code of Texas.Ability to obtain a Texas Antiquities Permit.Regional (Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana) experience in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology.Demonstrated skills and supervisory experience in Phase I-III fieldwork.Must be able to provide a writing sample from either a thesis, dissertation, or archaeological report.Must possess a valid driver’s license.Experience with Federal Agencies and Tribal Nations.The qualified applicant must provide a list of at least 3 professional references with contact information. NICE TO HAVE:Registered Professional Archaeologist (or ability to become registered).Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, ArcGISPro, Field Maps, Google Earth, ArcMap and/or other GIS programs.Experience obtaining a Texas Antiquities Permit.Significant lab and curation experience.
