Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager provides clinical, operational, and administrative leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is responsible for managing daily unit operations, staffing, budget performance, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and employee engagement. The Nurse Manager fosters a culture of service excellence, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement while developing and mentoring nursing staff to achieve professional growth and organizational goals. Working collaboratively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership, the Nurse Manager drives patient satisfaction, supports strategic initiatives, promotes evidence-based practice, and ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards in alignment with Holy Cross Hospital's mission and core values.

What the Nurse Manager - Telemetry will need:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing  

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous 2-3 years experience as a Nurse Manager in an observation unit and or experience working in the ED

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, focused on customer service

Licensure/Certification:       

  • Florida RN license

  • ACLS

  • BLS

What the Nurse Manager - Telemetry will do:

  • Lead daily nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with hospital, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and budget performance to ensure appropriate coverage, operational efficiency, and effective resource utilization.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Drive quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives by monitoring performance metrics, implementing process improvements, and addressing opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to coordinate care delivery, support strategic objectives, and promote exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.
