About the Role:

The Operator, Finishing plays a critical role in the final stages of the manufacturing or production process, ensuring that products meet quality standards and are prepared for distribution. This position involves operating and maintaining finishing equipment such as cutters, binders, laminators, or packaging machines to complete the product assembly or presentation. The operator is responsible for monitoring the finishing process, identifying any defects or issues, and making necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and quality. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent errors and ensure a safe working environment. Ultimately, the role contributes directly to customer satisfaction by delivering finished products that meet or exceed company standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating finishing or production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific finishing equipment such as binders, laminators, or packaging machines.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
  • Basic computer skills for logging production data.
  • Certification in workplace safety or equipment operation.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime if required.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor finishing machinery to complete product processing according to specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, identifying defects or inconsistencies and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of finishing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and uphold quality standards.
