Construction Manager (PE License)

Responsibilities:
Lead construction projects from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and closeout.
Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project deliverables.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, engineers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
Apply professional engineering judgment to construction and project-related decisions within the scope of the PE license.
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and project teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Manage contractors and subcontractors, including bid evaluations, contract performance, change orders, and schedule compliance.
Monitor project costs, forecasts, commitments, and financial performance; identify and address budget risks.
Conduct project meetings and provide regular status updates, including schedule, cost, safety, quality, risks, and overall project performance.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency strategies.
Ensure construction activities comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and client specifications.
Support permitting, inspections, regulatory approvals, and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction.
Review and approve technical documentation and construction deliverables as appropriate under the PE license and applicable regulations.
Oversee quality control and quality assurance activities throughout project execution.
Manage project changes, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, deficiencies, and closeout documentation.
Coordinate commissioning, turnover, and final acceptance activities.
Maintain accurate project documentation and records in accordance with company and client requirements.
Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
7+ years of progressive experience in construction, engineering, project management, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from design through completion.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, project controls, engineering principles, and contract administration.
Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of construction safety requirements, applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and competing priorities.
Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
