Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be a central figure in our diagnostic imaging team, expertly performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans to produce precise images critical for patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Every day, you will meticulously position patients, operate advanced MRI scanning equipment according to physician orders and established protocols, and administer contrast media safely and effectively. You will also provide essential patient education and psychological support, monitor patient conditions closely during scans, maintain meticulous records, and perform daily quality assurance checks on equipment, all while strictly adhering to crucial MRI safety guidelines and regulatory standards.To be successful in this role, you will combine a nationally recognized certification/licensure in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), specialized advanced certification in MRI, and a profound understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics.

  • Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
  • Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
  • Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
  • Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
  • Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
  • Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited MRI Program
  • Experience with automatic injectors
  • Must have one of the following: Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, ARMRIT MRI, Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • Basic Life Support
  • Expanded IV Therapy Course

Preferred

  • 1-3 years prior experience as an MRI Technologist
  • Fluoroscopy
