As a Compliance Analyst at Convera, you will help promote a sound Compliance culture across the organisation through ensuring that there is an effective AML programme that effectively mitigates the risk of onboarding customers which are outside of Convera’s risk appetite.

This role is primarily focused on KYC risks and escalations that are received from front line operations and sales teams into Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse KYC information for customers at onboarding and reaccreditation which require a Compliance investigation.
• Utilise strong investigative skills to assess any risks posed by the customer and provide a Compliance recommendation in respect of the business relationship.
• Investigate and decision potential PEP matches.
• Provide advisory and feedback to the KYC Operations teams.
• Monitor and test key KYC controls.
• Track and implement regulatory change for KYC requirements.
• Support internal / external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Develop and deliver online and ad hoc face to face training for the KYC Operations team.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ relative work experience within a Financial Crime Compliance team within a regulated payments or financial services company.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of the global Financial Crime Compliance regulatory expectations and best practices for KYC activities, in particular regulations as they relate to both US and Canada.
• Advanced knowledge of onboarding corporate structures, including experience reviewing KYC on different entity types such as Private Companies, Trusts and Funds.
• An ability to resolve and advise on complex issues where analysis requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• An ability to direct the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas.
• An ability to work independently with no supervision and also a willingness to work collaboratively
• Fluent written and spoken English

Pay Transparency Statement

Convera is committed to pay transparency and equity in accordance with applicable U.S. state and local laws. For this position, the expected base salary range is [$62,000- $80,000] per year, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. We use a tiered geographic pay system to ensure fairness across regions. Candidates in high-cost areas may receive higher offers within the posted range.
