Location: Munich, GermanyEmployment Type: Full-Time, indefinite termSalary Range: € 95.000 - 135.000 per year gross depending on the seniority levelOffice-first work setupLanguage Requirement: C1 Level EnglishYour ResponsibilitiesDrive the technical vision and long-term architectural strategy for our optimization platform end-to-end, across dimensions such as data ingestion and processing, optimization logic implementation, battery control, automated power trading, accounting and settlementLead complex, cross-system initiatives that span multiple teams and engineering domains, owning design decisions that have organization-wide impactAct as a force multiplier: mentor senior and junior engineers alike, elevate the engineering capabilities of the broader team, and establish patterns that scale beyond your immediate projectsDefine, evangelize, and enforce engineering best practices across teams; lead technical design reviews and coach engineers and data scientists on how to design and deliver well-built, maintainable, iterable solutionsIdentify and resolve systemic technical issues, technical debt, and architectural bottlenecks before they become blockers for the organizationSupport colleagues during onboarding, daily operations, and strategic tasks; serve as a go-to technical authority for critical decisionsImplementation of our optimization and trading algorithms with focus on immediate go-lives as well as strategic, long-term focussed advancement of our platformMaintain and improve our tech stack and development environments and build infrastructure, from how services are developed and tested, to how they are built and integrated, to how they are monitoredYour ProfileMandatory requirements5+ years experience in Software Engineering (Backend and algorithmic) in the cloud2-3 years experience with Python including object-oriented design2+ years experience in onboarding, mentoring and coaching colleagues in junior positionsEvidence of pragmatic deliveryExperience working cross-functionally, especially with Product and Data Science teamsTeam player to effectively bring across complex ideas and concepts with an ability to work on solutions individuallyExperience and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentStrategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to zoom out to long-term vision and zoom in to implementation detailFull business proficiency in EnglishSkills to Set You ApartFamiliarity with AWS cloud platform, and services like Lambda, ECS, and other core AWS services used to build scalable, reliable backend systems.Energy industry experienceDesign thinking/sprint experienceThis role may not be a fit for you if…You don’t have the habit of defining your own tasks and expect other functions to do themYou are used to working in clear separate functions (software engineering, data science, product, ...)At Entrix, we are committed to diversity - of backgrounds and experiences.
