Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary

The Procurement Coordinator provides procurement and purchasing support for program operations. This role is responsible for coordinating the acquisition of materials, equipment, supplies, and services necessary to support organizational requirements. The Procurement Coordinator works closely with vendors, project teams, logistics personnel, and management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement activities while maintaining accurate purchasing records and inventory data.

  • Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement-related documentation.

  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.

  • Obtain vendor quotations, compare pricing, and assist with supplier selection in accordance with company policies.

  • Maintain accurate procurement files, records, and tracking systems for purchases and vendor information.

  • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with vendors regarding order status, delivery schedules, and discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and project personnel to ensure procurement requirements are met.

  • Review procurement documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company procedures.

  • Assist with inventory management activities, including tracking stock levels and replenishment requirements.

  • Support vendor relationship management by maintaining communication and resolving routine procurement issues.

  • Assist with receiving documentation, invoice reconciliation, and resolution of billing discrepancies.

  • Support audits and inspections by providing procurement records and documentation.

  • Assist in developing and updating procurement procedures, templates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Identify and report procurement risks, supply chain concerns, or vendor performance issues to management.

   Basic Qualifications                                                                                        

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Knowledge of procurement principles, purchasing practices, and vendor management processes.

  • Ability to prepare, review, and maintain procurement and purchasing documentation.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.

  • Ability to analyze pricing, delivery schedules, supplier performance, and related procurement data.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement tracking systems.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and procurement-related systems.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds.

  • Ability to work in office, warehouse, storage, and operational environments as needed.

  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting for extended periods.

  • Sufficient visual acuity to verify documentation, inventory, and material accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications                                                                     

  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with commercial and government procurement procedures and practices.

  • Experience utilizing procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or related business applications.
