DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Director of Key Accounts at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will guide strategic growth and relationship management for our most important biopharma and biotech partnerships. You'll support account teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences while expanding our market presence across our comprehensive portfolio of clinical research, pharmaceutical services, and scientific solutions. Your leadership will help advance the development and delivery of life-changing therapies by connecting customers with Thermo Fisher's capabilities in serving science.
You will develop and expand C-level relationships, create innovative commercial solutions, ensure operational excellence, and foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve growth targets. Through your strategic vision and implementation, you'll help customers address complex challenges while positioning Thermo Fisher as their trusted partner in making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of relevant experience, with preference for CRO, pharmaceutical, or medical device background
- Preferred Fields of Study: business administration, sales, scientific field, or related discipline
- 5+ years of strategic account management or commercial leadership experience
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Consistent record of meeting and exceeding commercial targets
- In-depth knowledge of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Professional presence with proven ability to build and influence senior-level customer relationships
- Strong understanding of complex technical requirements and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strategic thinking skills with ability to develop enterprise-level solutions addressing customer needs
- Experience in leading and developing successful teams
- Strong financial acumen and business analytics capabilities
- Effective negotiation and relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels
- Proven ability to manage complex situations and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience with CRM systems and sales operations tools
- Ability to travel as needed
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $186,700.00–$248,900.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
