Postdoctoral Fellow-MSH

United StatesFull-timePosted Sep 28, 2021
Roles & Responsibilities:

Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wu Lab.

Our Laboratory studies brain development and maturation. Our research is focused on understanding how complicated brain structures and connections are established and maintained to ensure mature adult functions. As part of our work, we develop novel 3D imaging techniques (iDISCO family protocols) to visualize entire brain structures and to elucidate how these structures integrate with the rest of the body for systems-level regulation. Our techniques have been widely adapted by neuroscience labs at Mount Sinai and beyond to tackle challenging question previously impossible. It opens new possibilities to study how brain structures may be disrupted by mutations and disease in animal models and human patient samples, which enables us to pursue cutting-edge research spanning basic systematic profiling of the brain to pathological discovery in a range of neurological disorders (autism spectrum disorder/intellectual disability, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease).
