Who You Are:

The Public Safety Technical Consultant – Integrations is a full-time, individual contributor on Oracle’s Public Safety implementation team.  This is a key role responsible for assisting customers in facilitating data integrations, assisting customer implementations of critical integrations in the Oracle public safety solution. This role will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, sales, and customers to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability to meet critical customer needs. Part of this results-oriented role will include planning, executing, and validating data integration processes including ensuring clear documentation for repeatability, accuracy, and consistency with future customers. Candidates for this role should be excited about pushing the boundaries and adopting new technologies and tools to accomplish successful customer outcomes. This role requires the ability to adapt to change quickly, a drive for results, and a “never satisfied” mentality. You will be an early team member of this fast-growing and exciting line of business at Oracle.  

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to define integration requirements, objectives, and scope for each project.

  • Develop detailed integration strategies, including timelines, resources, and risk assessments for assigned projects.

  • Identify data sources, target systems, and determine the appropriate integration approach for each project.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive implementation documentation for integration workflows, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting for dispatch, records, and jail integrations.

  • Work with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to define integration requirements and ensure seamless implementation.

  • Conduct testing and validation for integration connections to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with requirements.

  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting any risks, issues, or delays.

  • Use your exceptional customer service skills to guide customers through a successful integration process.

What you've done:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data management, or equivalent work experience.

  • 4+ years of technical and/or consulting experience architecting enterprise and application solutions in public safety software.

  • Proven experience in integrations, networking, and database management.

  • Experience with API development, GraphQL, REST, and SOAP APIs.

  • Experience working with SaaS applications and development practices. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.

  • Proven self-starter that proactively develops working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, use-case documentation, business analysis, integrations/interfaces, and other key elements of public safety implementations.

It would be awesome if you also had:

  • Knowledge/familiarity with Government clouds.

  • Knowledge/familiarity with Oracle products and services, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

  • Experience with cloud iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) tools.

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and API gateways.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation.

  • Experience implementing public safety integrations.

  • Familiarity with IPsec VPN concepts, routing, and secure connectivity between enterprise networks.

  • Experience with AI development tools.

This is a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) sensitive position and will require a fingerprint-based background investigation, conducted by customer criminal justice agencies, to determine an applicant’s eligibility for access to criminal justice information. Employees hired for this position will be required to obtain and maintain CJIS access approval by Federal, state, and/or local agencies for Criminal Justice information, related law enforcement databases, and communications systems.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
