Creator Experimentation Manager
Creator Experimentation Manager
Build the experimentation engine that teaches an AI platform how creator growth actually works — the rare growth role where your frameworks don't just inform strategy, they become the product.
Tano is the AI-native influencer partner. We run the full creator flywheel — gifting, affiliate, whitelisting, creator partnership ads — for brands like Skin+Me, Bloom & Wild, Gousto, Fussy, and Granola. Our AI platform already handles creator sourcing, outreach, negotiation, and onboarding end-to-end. We are backed by Cherry Ventures, Seedcamp, and The Players Fund.
The role
Today, the intelligence behind a great creator programme — what makes creators say yes, activate fast, stay engaged, and drive revenue — lives in expert heads and gets applied manually, client by client. Our end state is autonomous creator growth: a platform that programmatically determines the optimal strategy for creator acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and commercial performance.
You are the bridge. You’ll build our knowledge and experimentation engine: systematically testing, learning, and codifying what drives creator performance across the lifecycle, until those decision frameworks are sharp enough to be executed algorithmically. You’ll work across our full client portfolio — thousands of live creator relationships across dozens of brands — which means more experimental surface area than any single brand’s growth team will ever see.
This is a horizontal role reporting to the CEO, working directly with our pod leads on client strategy and with our platform team on what gets automated next.
What you'll do
- Design and run structured experiments across the creator lifecycle: acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and commercial performance.
- Execute an experimentation roadmap across the client portfolio — validating hypotheses, killing losers fast, surfacing new opportunities.
- Build and iterate engagement, retention, and incentive strategies: commission structures, tiering, gifting cadences, reactivation plays.
- Identify the leading indicators that predict campaign success — and the signals that intervention is needed.
- Combine quantitative performance data with qualitative creator insight to understand not just what works, but why.
- Turn validated learnings into repeatable frameworks that drive client strategy and feed directly into the platform's automation roadmap.
- Own the experiment log and framework library as first-class company assets.
You're probably a fit if
- You're a high-agency, analytical systems thinker who loves experimentation and optimisation — motivated by building systems that improve over time, not managing campaigns.
- You combine data fluency with genuine behavioural insight, and you're comfortable building from first principles.
- You've built data-led acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies — for customers, members, users, or marketplace participants — with a real test-and-learn track record: real hypotheses, real discipline, real killed experiments.
- You can design experiments on messy, small-n, real-world populations (creators aren't app users) and still extract honest signal.
- You write clearly: your frameworks need to be legible to strategists, engineers, and eventually an algorithm.
- Your background is in retention or lifecycle marketing, referral or loyalty programme strategy, growth/experimentation, or marketplace supply-side growth — the kind of work done at companies like ClassPass, HelloFresh, Beauty Pie, Lyst, Octopus, Mention Me, or Space NK.
