Coordinator, Content Protection & Anti-Piracy
At Warner Music Group, we’re a global collective of music makers and music lovers, tech innovators and inspired entrepreneurs, game-changing creatives and passionate team members. Here, we turn dreams into stardom and audiences into fans. We are guided by three core values that underpin everything we do across all our diverse businesses:
Curiosity: We do our best work when we’re immersing ourselves in culture and breaking through barriers. Curiosity is the driving force behind creativity and ingenuity. It fuels innovation, and innovation is the key to our future.
Collaboration: Making music and bringing it to the world is all about the power of originality amplified by teamwork. A great idea, like a great song, travels globally. We ignite passions and build connections across our diverse community of artists, songwriters, partners, and fans.
Commitment: We pursue excellence for our team and our talent. Everything in music starts with a leap into the unknown, and we’re committed to keeping the faith, acting with integrity, and delivering on our promises.
WMG is home to a wide range of artists, musicians, and songwriters that fuel our success. That is why we are committed to creating a work environment that actively values, appreciates, and respects everyone. We encourage applications from people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
Consider a career at WMG and get the best of both worlds – an innovative global music company that retains the creative spirit of a nimble independent.
A little bit about our team:
The WMG Global Commercial Services team maximizes WMG revenue and market share, leading through best practices, platform expertise and forward thinking solutions that support our recorded music strategy.
The content protection team is a group of global specialists who leverage technology, intellectual property law, and collaborative relationships with industry partners and third-party vendors to ensure music fans across the globe can experience and access WMG’s content the way our artists intend. We provide support to our label and territory partners with content protection, rights management, and optimization to ensure maximum revenue opportunities at our commercial digital partners.
Your role:
We are looking for someone who is eager to interact with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to protect WMG’s content and who is motivated to help our artists maintain control over their release plans. This person is a leader and will help shape a world-class content protection team.
Here you’ll get to:
Monitor and protect all forms of WMG’s intellectual property, including audio, physical products, merchandise, and virtual properties
Support the content security group in identifying unauthorized uses of WMG’s content across streaming services, social media platforms, and the Internet at large. Complete notice and takedown protocols according to US Copyright laws and other legal frameworks.
Liaise with WMG’s labels, global affiliate companies, and corporate departments to manage priority releases and maintain content protection guidelines
Develop and build technical monitoring tools, scripts, and other detection systems. Collaborate with internal teams to integrate APIs with vendors. This helps detect unauthorized content and lowers the need for manual searches.
Guard against new technologies and threats. Monitor for AI-generated deepfakes and voice clones that misuse artist names, images, likenesses, or vocal identities. Use detection tools to flag synthetic media for legal and policy review.
Work with other members of the Global Content Security group and internal partners to agree on data collection standards. Consolidate reporting into shared dashboards. Ensure consistent tracking of infringement metrics, takedown outcomes, fraud incidents, and emerging threat trends.
