About Us
About the role
The job is primarily coordination. Much of the technical depth already exists across the company, in engineering, in security, and with our external partners and what’s missing is someone who owns the whole picture: who decides what our standards are, who makes sure nothing falls between teams, who drives vendors and internal stakeholders to closure, and who leadership can ask a question and get a straight answer from. You’ll be technical enough to make good calls and challenge bad ones, but your leverage comes from organizing people and processes rather than doing every task yourself.
Success looks like an environment where employees rarely think about IT because it quietly works, and where nothing important is waiting on an unowned decision.
What you’ll do
- Own the day-to-day availability of internal systems: office networks, corporate SaaS, endpoints, file storage, and telephony
- Manage identity and access, SSO, MFA, provisioning, deprovisioning, and least-privilege access reviews
- Maintain backup and continuity plans for internal systems and business data, and test them on a defined schedule
- Manage the endpoint fleet end to end: procurement, imaging, MDM enrollment, patching, and lifecycle replacement
- Own IT onboarding and offboarding: devices, accounts, and access provisioned before day one and fully revoked on exit
Support and service delivery
- Run the internal help desk: triage, SLAs, escalation paths, and resolution quality
- Create documentation and self-service resources that reduce repeat tickets
- Track ticket trends and fix root causes rather than symptoms
Security hygiene and compliance support
- Implement and enforce baseline security policies on internal systems: endpoint protection, device encryption, patch cadence, and acceptable use
- Coordinate security awareness training and phishing simulations
- Provide evidence and system records for audits and compliance requirements ([SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / GDPR / other]) through our compliance platform, keeping integrations connected and evidence current
- Escalate suspected security issues promptly to security/engineering leadership and support their response
Vendors and budget
- Manage relationships with MSPs, ISPs, hardware suppliers, and SaaS vendors
- Own license inventory and renewals; eliminate shadow IT and redundant spend
- Build and manage the IT budget; make clear build-vs-buy recommendations
Coordination and ownership
- Coordinate with engineering leadership, including infrastructure and security, to keep corporate IT aligned with how the product stack is built and secured, and to avoid gaps or overlap between the two
- Work with back-office functions (HR, Finance, Legal, Office Ops) on hiring cycles, asset tracking, spend approvals, and policy rollout
- Set the internal IT roadmap in partnership with department leaders
- Report on availability, ticket volume, spend, and risk to leadership

- Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls, Wi-Fi design
- Clear communication with non-technical colleagues
- Demonstrated ownership: you close loops without being chased
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications ([CompTIA Network+, AZ-104, ITIL])
- Experience scaling internal IT through significant headcount growth

- Experience supporting a company through a formal compliance audit
