Quality Control Specialist
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Specialist to join our Auto/Moto Loans Underwriting Division. In this role, you will serve as the department's safety net — ensuring that loan bookings comply with credit and field credit policies, identifying and monitoring credit and operational risks, and driving continuous process improvements across the underwriting function.
This is a key position that bridges compliance, risk management, and operational excellence — ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, communicates well across teams, and takes ownership of outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
File Auditing. Review a random sampling of approved and rejected loan files to identify structural errors, documentation gaps, and deviations from credit policy standards.
Accuracy Verification. Double-check key credit calculations include payment-to-income (PTI) and asset valuations, and credit scores to ensure correctness and consistency.
Credit Quality Review. Assess loan bookings for data input accuracy, policy adherence, credit investigation and verification quality, and documentation completeness.
Policy Gap Identification. Assist in identifying policy gaps observed during the quality review of Field Credit Investigation Officers and Credit Officers and recommend appropriate policy or process updates to address these gaps.
Reporting Deficiencies. Flag patterns of errors made by Field Credit Investigators or underwriters to management and escalate high-risk issues to the Team Head with recommended corrective or preventive actions.
Credit Officer Support. May assist the Credit Officer with processing tasks during periods with no pending QC assignments, ensuring continuous productivity and team efficiency.
Findings Management. Track QA findings and ensure issues are closed or regularized within agreed timelines.
Process Improvement. Assist the Credit Manager in recommending updates to the underwriting manual, policy guidelines, and system enhancements to eliminate common mistakes and prevent recurrence of issues.
