Lead Full Stack Developer
Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We’re seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Residential Lending (Mortgage) technology team, embedded with DevOps/Support. You’ll own and stabilize lower environments, partner with application developers to diagnose and resolve issues, and help keep CI/CD and cloud infrastructure reliable so teams can deliver safely and quickly.
What will you do?
- Own day-to-day health of lower environments (dev/test/UAT): provisioning, configuration, deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
- Partner with application developers to reproduce, triage, and resolve environment and integration issues across the stack.
- Implement, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) for consistent, secure deployments to cloud environments.
- Perform engineering support work including performance tuning, monitoring, and deployment troubleshooting.
- Design, build, and support APIs and integrations (REST, Kafka/event-driven) that connect systems and data across environments.
- Collaborate with business partners, architects, and product teams to clarify technical needs and prioritize environment and platform work.
- Work with enterprise-distributed teams to deliver and support capabilities in mortgage/lending applications.
- Use GenAI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) for code assistance, test data, and automated testing; look for opportunities to automate repetitive support and delivery work.
- Analyze and maintain data/database designs and models across environments as needed for troubleshooting and support.
- Follow architectural standards, security practices, and established methodologies.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- 10+ years with C# (.NET Core), Visual Studio, web services, XML, and RESTful APIs; experience with Kafka and/or event-driven integration.
- 10+ years designing and operating cloud solutions on Azure (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Event Hub, Redis, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Azure Repos).
- Strong background in REST APIs, system design, application integration, and data mapping between source and target systems.
- Hands-on DevOps experience: CI/CD, environment management, deployments, and supporting developers in lower environments.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with design patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.), SOA, and related architectural concepts.
- Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot), SQL and/or NoSQL databases, and Agile delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical partners and work across business and engineering teams.
- Curiosity, continuous learning, and comfort with new tools and platforms.
- Understanding of financial services and lending/mortgage business models preferred.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with OpenShift or multi-cloud (AWS/Azure).
- Familiarity with prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD).
- Prior support/SRE-style work in regulated banking environments.
What’s in it for you?
We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
- A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable.
- Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities.
- Ability to make a difference and lasting impact.
- Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.
- A world-class training program in financial services.
