Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Materials & Processes Engineer (d/f/m)
to support the Materials and Processes Organisation for structural materials.
The metallic or poylmers technology engineer is a key contributor during the complete product life cycle of military aircrafts (different type certificates such as legacy aircraft - Eurofighter, Tornado - or new developments - Eurodrone, new fighter aircraft). The engineer drives metal or polymer technology development and is involved in the development, design and manufacturing of Airbus military aircraft products.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Technology, development and qualification projects in the area of metallic or polymer materials and applicable processes
Creation of material and process specifications as well as test method specifications
Providing expertise in the area of the materials and applicable processes to peers and customers in design, stress, fatigue, quality, manufacturing and suppliers
Assessment of Waiver / Concessions
Engagement in national and international Standardization Committees
Process & Product Audits (technical support)
Performance of Defect Investigations
Support to obsolescence management
Critical reviews of technical documentation
Desired skills and qualifications
University Degree (Master) in material science or aerospace engineering with materials background
Curious and open mindset
Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Strategic and analytical skills
Good communication skills in both German and English
Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary, international team
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
