## What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop LV switchgear products, including AC & DC rated Breakers (MPCB & MCCB), Contactors, Switch Disconnectors, Auxiliary contacts, Shunt & UV releases.
• Lead the engineering design of complete product & Sub systems including design of arc chambers, current paths, and contact systems to deliver innovative, reliable, and robust product solutions.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and drive project execution through the design, testing, validation, and implementation phases of NPI and NTI projects.
• Take technical ownership of projects and ensure compliance with IEC, UL and other relevant industry standards.
• Responsible for implementation of DFSS, DfX and follow the ProLaunch & PreLaunch process as per activity matrix.
• Perform system integration and component design, CAD concept modeling, analysis, and simulation coordination activities to meet product performance and reliability requirements.
• Modify and enhance existing products to address customer needs, manufacturing requirements, regulatory updates, industry standards, and market demands through established change management processes.
• Mentor & Guide junior team member for to create strong technical talent succession pipeline.
'• Responsible for design engineering analysis on arc chamber, current path, contacts, plastic part, mechanism, spring, system integration, product Architecture etc.
• Knowledge of LV switchgear standards in accordance to IEC/UL/CSA/CCC codes which will allow development of test plans.
• Experience in witnessing tests like Temperature rise, Short circuit, sequence tests, EMC per IEC & UL standards thereby estimating impact on product performance from changing material/components.
• Create DVP&R, test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation.
• Assesses test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective/preventive actions
• Support Creation of new designs and advanced methodologies to support the Technical Roadmap of the organization
• Review, design proposals and documentation required to define & control products
• Participate in design reviews, both customer and internal as required
• Review reliability predictions, and Design Failure Modes and Effects analysis (DFMEA) and structural/thermal/CFD/MBD simulation results
• Participate in multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams
• Perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique customer applications

• May provide formal and informal updates to Engineering Manager and Program Manager. Participates in the preparation for design review material
## Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Electrical / Mechanical

9 - 14 years
• Minimum 8 years experience in designing LV switchgears like breakers, contactors, switch disconnectors and fuses.
• Experience working with cross functional teams within and outside organization to drive design objectives in sustaining products
• Experience through all stages of the product development cycle
• Experience in short circuit, temperature rise, arc test, EMC in accordance with IEC/UL standards
• Hands on experience in product development leveraging DfX methodology
• Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations
• Proficient in CAD and PLM software's
• Knowledge in ProLaunch and PreLaunch processes
