Role: Workplace Contracts Advisor
The Workplace team are accountable for managing the end-to-end property lifecycle for bp’s corporate office portfolio. Operating in 50 plus countries and over 100 diverse locations the team are central to the transformation of workplace experience and the associated services. The team has an ambitious transformation agenda across our key locations. The Contracts Advisor will ensure that all key Workplace contracts are operated and overseen to a high standard ensuring compliance with bp requirements and operating effectively to meet business needs. They will be a member of the global Workplace Performance & Integration team and will need to work closely with other team members, Workplace Leadership Team and bp Procurement.
The role will provide leadership and direction on contract management for Workplace ensuring:
- Close cooperation with procurement and Workplace LT to provide effective management of key contracts and subject matter expertise is provided to others managing smaller contracts
- Lead contract governance of main global outsourced service partner structured using partnering methodology
- Working with suppliers and relevant bp SMEs develop and deliver a compliance oversite programme to provide the Workplace LT assurance on contractor performance
The Contracts Advisor will need to develop and maintain multi-year (up to five years) contract governance plans - with problem and decision making within typical bp contract management structure, albeit the core supplier contract will require knowledge of partnering methodology.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide subject matter expertise to others in Workplace holding CAM roles.
- Lead the contract governance of strategic partnership with global outsourced supply partner, jointly with supply partner ensuring partnering competency maintained across Workplace
- Ensure all third parties fully comply with contractual requirements, and bp meets its obligations. Also ensuring these are amended as bp requirements change. This includes expectations on data privacy, digital security, labour rights and modern slavery etc
- Lead on Workplace engagement with Procurement providing client requirements for any Workplace Services sourcing activity
- Manage process to define Workplace ongoing delivery role in facilities onboarded as part of any real estate activity and ensure accurate record for each active site.
Essential Qualification and Experience:
- Graduation degree or equivalent with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrable experience in achieving results in diverse cultures drives an inquisitive yet respectful mindset whilst promoting innovation and continuous improvement
- Good knowledge of managing process efficiency, data quality, systems performance and development
- A successful track record of initiating, leading and managing multiple service functions.
- Experience of services contract management developing and operating appropriate oversight systems
- Experience of working with procurement teams to develop and respond to sourcing activities
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
