Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Operations Technical Specialist to support mortgage-backed securities and fixed income operational processing activities. This role is responsible for providing outsourced operational and transactional business process support for clients while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality service within client expectations and contractual requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in MBS allocations, FICC processing, trade support, fail management, and static data oversight, along with strong knowledge of operational workflows and related systems. This role requires the ability to work independently, meet critical daily deadlines, resolve operational issues, and collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients. The Operations Technical Specialist will also serve as a subject matter resource to colleagues and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control.
Responsibilities
- Provide outsourced operational and transactional business process support for clients, ensuring quality service and operational performance aligned with client needs and contractual obligations.
- Process MBS Allocations via FICC EPN, ensuring all daily cutoff deadlines are met for pool information, including Ginnie Mae and Fannie Mae activity.
- Communicate and work effectively with client support teams and the trade desk to complete assigned tasks and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
- Manage FICC comparison processing through RTTM for trade novations and margin positions.
- Monitor, report, and manage aged fail items, including support for CPR Claims processing and resolution.
- Support activities aligned with TMPG (Treasury Market Practice Group) practices and market requirements.
- Execute and monitor trade assignments, ensuring proper handling of legally binding contracts and accurate operational processing.
- Process manual give-ups and reconcile related monthly cash settlements for FICC.
- Maintain and monitor static data and review exception or error queues across systems, including IMPACT and MBSE Bloomberg Monitor.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and operational issues while escalating risk items as appropriate.
- Support process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements to workflows and controls.
- Serve as a technical and operational resource for team members by sharing knowledge, answering questions, and supporting training where needed.
- Ensure adherence to internal procedures, client requirements, and operational controls in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Series 99 preferred
- Hands-on experience with MBS allocations, FICC EPN, RTTM, and fixed income or mortgage-backed securities operational workflows
- Experience with fail reporting, aged item management, and cash settlement reconciliation
- Knowledge of TMPG, trade assignments, and manual give-up processing preferred
- Strong understanding of static data maintenance and exception queue monitoring
- Experience with IMPACT, ION, BPS, Bloomberg, and MBSE systems preferred
- Experience with ICI, BDC, RTTM, BPS, and iMatch is a plus
- Strong commitment to continuous self-development and process improvement

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $100,000 - $105,000.
