As an international instructional design manager on the International Retail Operations team, you will develop and maintain the retail training programs that will be used in more than 85 countries around the world. You will play a critical role in ensuring retail training programs are relevant, engaging and help partners quickly gain competency in their new roles.

As an international instructional design manager, you will…

  • Demonstrate expertise in adult learning and instructional design - You will design, develop and maintain innovative, internationally relevant retail operations digital training programs that accelerate partner performance, for barista through regional director roles.
  • Serve as a learning and development subject matter expert – You will regularly consult with cross-functional teams locally and around the world.
  • Continuously improve training programs – You will evaluate feedback, analyze key metrics and compare industry benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of the programs you develop to make improvements.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • 10+ years of experience designing training programs for adult learners in retail operations roles – from entry level to leadership roles
  • Expertise developing e-learning programs and videos
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Familiarity with DominKnow
  • Excellent communication and consulting abilities cross-functionally, cross-culturally and cross-levels
  • Ability to accomplish complex tasks using AI

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
