The Budapest office is seeking a motivated Retail Negotiator to support the retail agency team in the Hungarian market. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals with a strong track record in leasing shopping centers, high street retail units and retail parks. The successful candidate will assist with high-street and shopping center leasing activity, tenant representation, retail development consultancy, and property acquisition for international retailers. Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Understand the local retail and retail warehouse market, including major locations, developments and active retailers
- Establish relationship with local and international developers and retailers
- Prepare presentations and offers and arrange viewings for clients
- With support of more experienced team members advising on layout, design, ERV’s and ideal tenant mix of specific projects
- Participate in the preparation of leasing strategies and expansion plans under supervision
- Assist in negotiating and finalizing lease agreements with guidance from senior team members
- Support the writing of retail consultancy reports and progress updates for clients
- Prepare leasing reports to clients about progress of a leasing task
- Do regular cold-calls to enhance the progress on the leasing task
- Attend leasing meetings with clients, architects, and tenants to observe and contribute as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting on marketing and leasing progress
Knowledge & Skills, experience:
- Proficiency in English
- Bachelor’s degree in College or University
- Strong interest in commercial real estate and retail markets
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Team player, accurate, and hard-working
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Advanced IT skills (MS Office programs)
- Driving license
