The Production Technician safely and efficiently operates equipment to fill, inspect, and prepare compressed and liquid gas cylinders. This role ensures strict compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and production schedules.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
- Cylinder sorting & management: To perform cylinder sorting of various status, cylinder transfer from various work stations, assignment of cylinders to WIP for filling or maintenance, data entry and information updating in the Gideon WIP system and Production logbooks, perform month end closing and product inventory stock count as per planned schedule.
- Cylinder filling: Filling of inert, flammable and toxic product mixtures for cylinders and cylinder bundles. To follow onsite safety requirements and SOPs and process control measures so as to achieve zero safety incident and zero quality rejects from customers.
- Incoming & outgoing quality checks: Perform incoming quality checks(IQC) for cylinders coming into Production stations and performing Outgoing quality checks(OQC) for filled products to ensure compliance to customer requirement and quality assurance.
- Cylinder Maintenance: To monitor all incoming cylinder overdue test date(OTD) and arrange them for cylinder maintenance. To perform cylinder gas disposal, de-valving, painting or paint removal, cylinder stenciling, cylinder internal preparation process, palletization and de-palletization for cylinder bundle.
- Facility operation & housekeeping: To following the onsite 6s housekeeping procedure and plan to ensure facility is upkeep to the highest standards. Perform routine plant startup and shutdown activities as per manpower planning schedule.
- Production facility & equipment maintenance: To perform basic maintenance to ensure the reliability of the production equipment and filling plant facility. Perform corrective and preventive maintenance (CM &PM) for production equipment such as valve replacement, manifold cleaning and purging, process line qualification, vacuum pump replacement and any other tasks that production supervisor had assign to do.
Are you a MATCH?
ITE/NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a chemical processing industry or a process plant environment.
Fresh graduate with keen learning attitude are encouraged to apply.
Solid understanding of personal and process safety standards within an industrial plant context.
Ability to operate forklift is added advantage.
