About the Opportunity:
The Human Resources Intern position is a temporary role for a student pursuing an education and career in Human Resources. The individual in this role will gain exposure to standard Human Resources processes and systems through working on assigned projects.
Location: Thomasville, GA
Responsibilities:
- Support the site Human Resources Manager with a variety of administrative Human Resources tasks including personnel file creation and maintenance
- Assist with changing/updating Human Resources documents
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee data and documents
- Track and document employment related data such as training records
- Provide Human Resources support through administrative activities
- Assist in conducting proactive data audits and correct any findings
- Other job-related tasks assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current enrollment in or graduation from a degree/certificate program for a related field
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of introductory coursework in Human Resources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions
- This individual will spend most of their time working within an air-conditioned office but may spend some time on the production floor
- Frequent activities: sitting, typing, talking/listening, walking, reading
- Occasional activities: lifting up to 15 lbs.
