JOB TITLE: Total Joint Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Total Joint Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination and maintenance of the care continuum for total joint replacement patients.
  • The Total Joint Program Coordinator provides leadership for all aspects of the continuum of care beginning before surgery through one-year postop; including Pre-Admission Testing, Peri-op Services, inpatient units, post-acute care and all other applicable entities within the orthopedic service line related to evidence-based practice for orthopedic patients.
  • The Total Joint Coordinator will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of program goals and operations.
  • The Total Joint Coordinator coordinates and oversees the ongoing process to continually improve care for the orthopedic patient population.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Assists with assembling patient charts when the Health Information Management (HIMS) Clerk is unavailable, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and appropriately organized.

EDUCATION/REOUIREMENTS:

  • Current Registered Nurse License
  • Ability to speak and understand English
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skill and relationships, speaks with the public ina courteous manner.

PHYSICAL REOUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, and stoop as needed.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to hear and understand.
  • Maintains a neat, professional appearance.
