Target's Global UX team is a group of design, research, and accessibility practitioners and experts focused on improving and innovating digital experiences for Target's guests, team members, and partners. Here, we design tangible, inspiring, and impactful solutions that serve all aspects of our business and play a critical role in shaping Target's digital experience through insight, rigor, and human-centered thinking.

About the role:

As an Enterprise Quantitative UX Researcher, you will lead quantitative UX research for Target's enterprise experiences, helping teams better understand the needs, behaviors, and outcomes of the people who power Target every day, including team members, business partners, vendors, and other enterprise users.

You will own and evolve critical voice-of-user and experience measurement programs, including System Usability Scale measurement, Voice of Vendor / Voice of Business Partner programs, intercept surveys, benchmarking, and other scalable quantitative research efforts. You will bring quantitative expertise to shape how these programs are designed, measured, governed, and activated, connecting user experience, product health, business outcomes, and enterprise priorities.

This role partners closely with qualitative UX researchers, product, design, technology, analytics, data science, business teams, and insights partners to validate and size user needs, identify patterns across large populations, and translate complex data into clear implications for product strategy, design decisions, and business impact.

You will also bring quantitative insights to life through reporting, dashboards, storytelling, and reusable measurement approaches that make data easier for teams to understand and act on. Success requires strong quantitative expertise, UX research judgment, the ability to clarify complex questions, and the ability to turn complex data into stories that influence decisions.

You will report to the Director of Quantitative UX Research and AI Enablement and collaborate closely with quantitative UX research partners supporting Target’s guest-facing experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve Enterprise UX measurement strategy, including what to measure, how to measure it, and how experience metrics connect to product health, business outcomes, and organizational priorities.

  • Own and evolve Enterprise UX Research measurement programs, including SUS, Voice of Vendor / Voice of Business Partner, intercept surveys, benchmarking, and new longitudinal voice-of-user programs.

  • Shape how Enterprise UX Research approaches measurement, survey strategy, sampling, analysis, reporting, and insight activation.

  • Design and execute quantitative research, including survey design, sampling, segmentation, statistical testing, driver analysis, benchmarking, longitudinal tracking, and quantitative validation.

  • Design scalable quantitative research to answer ambiguous product questions, validate hypotheses, evaluate concepts and experiences, and generate insights that inform product strategy and experience decisions.

  • Develop scalable measurement frameworks and governance that enable consistent, reusable, and trustworthy UX measurement across Enterprise product teams.

  • Partner with UX Research, Product, Design, Technology, Analytics, Data Science, and business teams to connect attitudinal research, behavioral data, product analytics, experimentation, and business data.

  • Translate quantitative signals into actionable insights by connecting survey data, product analytics, behavioral data, and business metrics to help teams make better product and investment decisions.

  • Partner with Research Operations and cross-functional teams to evaluate and pilot responsible uses of AI, automation, and emerging tooling that improve quantitative research workflows, reporting, analysis, and insight activation.

  • Translate complex quantitative analysis into clear, actionable narratives for product teams, business partners, and senior leaders.
