Learn more at li.me.We are hiring a Deputy Regional Head, Government Relations for Latin America, based in Mexico City, to join Lime’s global policy and communications team.In this role, you will lead efforts to expand and strengthen Lime’s presence across Latin America, with a particular focus on Mexico City and the broader Mexican market. You will partner directly with operations team leadership to strengthen our relationships with government officials and promote our community presence across key markets in the region.You will advance policies that support shared micromobility programs; preserve, expand, and develop new programs in cities throughout Latin America; grow our fleet across multiple vehicle types; and help ensure we are building meaningful, trusting, and long-term relationships with key public, private, and community stakeholders.The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading advocacy campaigns and building partnerships with government and community leaders. A core skill will be the ability to communicate the value of Lime’s service to regulators, the media, and other key constituencies across a range of local contexts. Just as importantly, this person should bring strong instincts around municipal politics, including how city-level decision-making, stakeholder dynamics, and local political considerations shape market outcomes.This role will require a strong independent contributor who is comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership in a dynamic environment. The right candidate will be able to navigate complex challenges, move work forward with limited day-to-day oversight, and build traction across multiple markets while working closely with cross-functional partners.This position is a remote role based in Mexico City and reports directly to the Regional Head of Government Relations for US, South and Latin America.This position requires occasional travel to support business operations, which is considered an essential function of the role. Lime will provide reasonable accommodations as needed.What You'll Do:Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government leaders at the city, state, and national levels, including agency staff and elected officials; nonprofit and community organizations; business community partners; media; and other prospective partners to effectively carry out Lime’s government relations and public affairs strategy across Latin AmericaParticipate in media interviews and speak at government and community forums; organize, attend, and lead public-facing events in market in both English and SpanishIn partnership with regional leadership, evaluate, prioritize, and implement strategic paths toward maintaining and growing Lime’s operations and fleet across key Latin American markets, with an immediate focus on Mexico and ChileCollaborate with regional operations, campaigns, and policy leadership teams to develop and execute a long-term government relations strategy aligned with company priorities and key market goalsCollaborate with comms and marketing teams on educational and safety initiatives, advertising and marketing campaigns, and local media activitiesAnalyze and inform GR leadership and other internal stakeholders on regulatory, legislative, and political developments across Latin America, with particular attention to Mexico CityAnticipate potential issues that may impact operations in the region and work with internal teams to problem-solve quickly and...
