Your Role

As our Robot Field Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring our robot fleet performs reliably in real customer environments. Sitting at the intersection of robotics, operations, and customer success, you will be responsible for deploying robots on-site, troubleshooting issues in the field, carrying out maintenance and repairs, and feeding real-world learnings back into the engineering team.

You will spend a significant amount of time at customer sites, both locally and internationally, helping ensure successful deployments and smooth day-to-day operation. In this role, you will act as the eyes and ears of the engineering team in the field, turning operational experience into product improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deploy and set up robots at customer sites, ensuring they are ready for operation

  • Monitor robot performance and intervene when issues occur

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in the field, performing basic repairs and maintenance when needed

  • Conduct on-site quality checks and validate that robots operate according to company standards

  • Document issues clearly and provide structured feedback to engineering, production, and account management teams

  • Identify recurring failure modes and contribute ideas to improve system robustness and reliability

  • Interface directly with customers and represent the company during deployments and support visits

  • Travel internationally for deployments and spend extended periods on-site when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong practical and technical skills, with the ability to understand, diagnose, and resolve issues in complex systems

  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, or software systems, whether through professional experience, education, or hands-on projects

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and solve problems in unpredictable environments

  • A strong troubleshooting mindset and genuine curiosity to understand why systems fail

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both customers and internal teams

  • Willingness to travel internationally and spend significant time on-site at customer locations

  • Valid Swiss driving license

  • Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with robotics, automation, or industrial equipment

  • Experience debugging electrical systems, sensors, motors, or embedded systems

  • Familiarity with Linux, networking, or technical diagnostics

  • Experience performing maintenance or repairs on machines and hardware
