Role Summary

Oracle is hiring a Cloud Data Platform Sales Representative to grow Oracle Data and Cloud opportunities across existing Oracle install-base customers across the Victoria Public Sector, with a focus on Victorian education customers and mid-tier government agencies..

This role focuses on customers that already run Oracle workloads. You will help them explore the right mix of OCI, Oracle Database, Exadata, Autonomous Database, Oracle Analytics, AI-ready data platforms, and on-premises Oracle Data services.

We are looking for a commercially driven seller who enjoys re-engaging customers, developing existing relationships, asking strong discovery questions, and turning conversations into qualified opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and grow a territory of existing Oracle install-base customers across the Victoria Public Sector, with a focus on education and mid-tier government agencies.

  • Identify opportunities across OCI, Database, Exadata, Autonomous Database, Oracle Analytics, AI readiness, and on-premises Oracle Data services.

  • Create qualified pipeline through targeted outreach, account research, campaigns, events, partner insights, and Oracle account history.

  • Lead discovery with business, technology, data, digital, procurement, operational, and executive stakeholders.

  • Position Oracle Data Platform solutions around modernisation, performance, security, scalability, cost optimisation, resilience, and AI-ready data foundations.

  • Work with Oracle Cloud Engineers, solution specialists, customer success, marketing, partners, and senior sales colleagues to build customer confidence.

  • Maintain accurate account plans, CRM updates, next steps, and disciplined pipeline progression.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven success in technology sales, cloud sales, enterprise software sales, data platform sales, infrastructure sales, account management, or business development.

  • Ownership and accountability: experience managing customer relationships, account plans, follow-up, and opportunity progression with reliability and pace.

  • Commercial discipline: strong execution across qualification, pipeline management, CRM hygiene, forecast updates, next steps, and deal progression.

  • Customer-first mentality: a value-led approach that helps existing Oracle customers get more from their data, database, cloud, and AI investments.

  • Demonstrable AI usage: practical use of AI or productivity tools to improve account research, customer insight, personalisation, follow-up, or sales execution.

  • Proactivity: ability to uncover whitespace, reactivate underdeveloped relationships, identify new buying centres, and create qualified opportunities.

  • Internal collaboration / Team First mentality: ability to work effectively with Cloud Engineers, solution specialists, customer success, marketing, partners, legal, finance, and sales leadership.

  • Consensus-building: confidence aligning business, technology, data, digital, procurement, operational, and executive stakeholders around data modernisation and AI-ready platform decisions.

  • Communication and stakeholder management – Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships, influence stakeholders, proactively communicate priorities and risks, and balance customer, commercial and organisational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Oracle Database, Exadata, Autonomous Database, OCI, Oracle Analytics, AI services, or related data platform solutions.

  • Experience with Oracle install-base customers, regulated industries, public sector, enterprise, education, or complex customer environments.

  • Experience selling to Victoria Government, education, public sector agencies, or Australian government customers.

  • Understanding of public sector procurement cycles, governance requirements, security expectations, and stakeholder decision-making processes.

  • Experience growing existing customer accounts through upsell, cross-sell, stakeholder expansion, account mapping, executive engagement, or solution selling.

  • Experience using CRM tools to manage account plans, pipeline, forecasts, activity, and sales progression.
