The Work-Study Student Assistant, under general supervision, will assist the department in which they are hired with daily operations, special projects, and other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor.
The Department of Financial Aid at Prairie View A&M University seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for potential employment in future Work-Study Student Assistant Positions, for the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semester. This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position. Hours will vary based on departmental needs, and may not exceed 20 hours per week. Student may work ONLY while classes are in session (for fall 2026: August 24, 2026 – December 9, 2027 and for spring 2027: January 11, 2027 (Tentative) - May 8, 2027).
Responsibilities:
Duties will vary by departmental need, and the following are examples of tasks that may be performed. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Answer phones
Greet customers
Provide excellent customer service
Assist with providing answers to internal and external customers
Develop content
Web page management
Create presentation materials
Organize and maintain information
Document imaging
Assist with other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University.
Minimum 2.0 GPA.
Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college.
Must have an accepted Federal or State Work-Study Award for the 25-26 Academic year.
No prior experience necessary.

Work Location:
This position is located on campus and is not eligible for remote work.
