Team Overview
The Lead Software Developer provides technical leadership while remaining actively engaged in software design and development. This role is responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex initiatives, establishing engineering best practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality solutions that align with business and architectural objectives.Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications and services using C# and .NET technologies.
Lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support large-scale data processing and customer-facing products.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and deliverable solutions.
Drive improvements in software quality through automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
Participate in architecture discussions and make recommendations regarding application design, performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex production issues, minimizing business impact and improving system reliability.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers by sharing technical knowledge, promoting engineering best practices, and supporting professional development.
Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and release activities within an Agile Scrum environment.
Develop and maintain REST-based APIs and integrations with internal and external systems to support business workflows and customer solutions.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve development efficiency, application performance, and operational effectiveness.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
5+ years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications, with a strong focus on backend development using object-oriented programming principles.
Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and application architecture, enabling the development of scalable and maintainable solutions.
Experience working in Agile Scrum environments, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and iterative delivery of business value.
Experience implementing automated testing and CI/CD practices, ensuring software quality, release reliability, and operational efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience, providing the foundational knowledge necessary to design and deliver complex software solutions.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Required Technical Skills
C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core for developing enterprise backend applications and services.
REST (Representational State Transfer) APIs and Web Services, including designing, developing, and integrating service-based architectures.
SQL and relational databases (SQL Server preferred) for data access, performance tuning, and application support.
Git version control and modern development workflows, including branching, pull requests, and collaborative code reviews.
CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tools and practices, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
Preferred Skills

Experience working with large-scale data processing systems and high-volume transactional applications.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools, including application performance monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
