General Summary
The Floor Supervisor will assist with managing overall store operations and assume primary responsibility for store operations in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Managers. The Floor Supervisor will also assist in managing and directing staff to achieve company goals and objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Project a positive representation of Ace Retail Group
- Proactively assist customers in solving problems
- Greet customers throughout the store and thank them upon exit
- Maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor with customers and associates
- Answer calls and pages promptly, courteously, and effectively
- Resolve customer complaints and issues with Ace Retail Group’s best interest in mind
- Maintain strong product and store layout knowledge
- Ensure a positive, professional, and safe work environment
- Supervise general store operations
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Assist with Store Support Center program implementation
- Support Loss Prevention, Safety, and Audit compliance
- Assist General Manager and Assistant Manager with store operations
- Communicate operational or managerial issues timely
- Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor areas
- Ensure price changes and label updates are accurate and timely
- Support cashiering functions including training, audits, and reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure forklift operations and receiving are completed safely and efficiently
- Support receiving, stocking, and merchandise organization
- Maintain appropriate back stock levels
- Ensure cycle counts and inventory accuracy processes are completed
- Assist with merchandise resets throughout the store
- Ensure all signage is current and accurate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floor
- Manage store operations in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager
- Lead by example and maintain approachability
- Assist in training and development of associates
- Participate in store meetings
- Communicate merchandising, cost control, and sales ideas to leadership
- Partner with leadership for development and advancement opportunities

Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to compute ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs
- Ability to work independently
- Flexible work schedule
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to foster teamwork and motivate others
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance
Compensation Details
$17 per hour
