Job Description
As a Customer Care Coordinator here at SGS you will support the delivery of inspection and laboratory services for international clients within our Mineral Commodities business.
The successful candidate will coordinate global product line operations, manage client enquiries, liaise with SGS affiliates worldwide, monitor service progress, review inspection documentation, and support invoicing and accounts receivable activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and coordinate global product line operations for clients.
- Respond to client enquiries regarding inspection and laboratory services and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate activities with SGS affiliates worldwide and communicate progress to clients.
- Analyse and cross-check inspection data.
- Review reports and certificates issued by SGS affiliates to ensure they meet client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with inspection protocols, business policies and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate billing procedures with SGS affiliates and generate client invoices.
- Maintain job files in accordance with internal control requirements.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities in line with Group policy.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- University degree in a marine, technical, chemical or commercial discipline.
- Minimum three years' experience in back-office functions.
- Experience in client service and direct client communication.
- Working knowledge and understanding of metals commodities trade inspections.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of additional languages.
- Experience using Oracle BOSS (Order Management module).
- Adaptable and flexible approach.
- Proactive team player with strong attention to detail.
- Quick learner with a conscientious and organised working style.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across teams and locations.
- Open to change and continuous improvement.
