• The company is a YC-backed fintech startup building banking and payment automation for construction businesses.
• The product helps construction companies send and collect payments digitally, manage receivables, and reduce manual financial operations.
• The engineering team is small, product-driven, and focused on moving quickly while maintaining reliability, security, and compliance.

Role

• We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack and DevOps Engineer who ships quickly, thinks in systems, and can own infrastructure without being limited to infrastructure work.
• This role is remote in Canada and works across product engineering, developer automation, infrastructure, security, and incident response.
• You will build product features, automate the development cycle with AI, and help a small team operate with strong speed and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Ship features end to end across the Django API, React TypeScript web client, Next.js back office, and React Native mobile app.
• Build AI-powered developer workflows such as PR review automation, automated code comments, incident-to-patch flows, and automated QA funnels.
• Manage GCP infrastructure with Terraform and maintain CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions.
• Keep builds, deploys, monitoring, and uptime processes running smoothly.
• Lead security and compliance work, including IAM, access controls, information security policies, BC/DR practices, and SOC 2 support.
• Configure incident response tooling and participate in on-call rotations.
• Switch comfortably between infrastructure, product features, automation, and operational work in the same week.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack skills.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Django, React, TypeScript, and ideally Next.js or React Native.
• Solid DevOps and infrastructure experience with GCP or equivalent cloud platforms, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong interest in using AI tools, LLMs, code assistants, or custom agents to automate development workflows and reduce toil.
• Experience with or strong interest in automated PR review, code quality, QA, and incident-response automation.
• Understanding of information security, IAM, and compliance in fintech, payments, banking, or another regulated environment.
• Bias toward action, proactive communication, and comfort in early-stage environments.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI or LLM-powered developer tools or agents.
• Experience with Agno or similar Python agent frameworks.
• React Native experience and comfort shipping across web and mobile.
• Familiarity with Sentry, Incident.io, Linear, Graphite, or similar modern DevOps and product tools.
• Payments, banking infrastructure, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or startup compliance experience.

Interview process

• 15-minute screening video call.
• 1-hour technical workshop.
• All job offers require the first two weeks in person in San Francisco.
