As a Margin & Collateral Specialist in Collateral Operations, you will manage daily margin call and margin exchange activities, including same-day settlement exceptions and dispute handling. You will help maintain strong regulatory compliance across applicable requirements and upcoming changes while delivering cross-business metrics and project support. You will promote a culture of continuous improvement by partnering with back office, middle office, and global teams to enhance processes and reduce operational breaks.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage daily margin exchange activities, including same-day settlement, exception handling, and dispute management.
  • Investigate mark-to-market breaks, including root causes tied to data quality issues.
  • Partner with middle office and credit risk teams to deep dive upstream drivers and reduce recurring breaks.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including Commodity Futures Trading Commission, European Market Infrastructure Regulation, and NCMR.
  • Strengthen process controls to improve accuracy and adherence to regulatory rules.
  • Execute user acceptance testing to support changes and enhancements.

     

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

 

  • Hold a graduate or post-graduate degree with 2+ years of experience in operations.
  • Bring familiarity with capital markets and over-the-counter derivatives, including product, process, and system knowledge.
  • Show a hands-on approach to driving results.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with business and technology stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leverage Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Organize work effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines while prioritizing individual and team deliverables.
  • Collaborate effectively with global teams across regions as business needs require.

     

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

 

  • Exhibit knowledge of Commodity Futures Trading Commission, European Market Infrastructure Regulation, and NCMR requirements.
  • Possess experience with over-the-counter confirmations, collateral management, and reconciliation platforms.
