Job Summary:

The SAP Business ByDesign Implementation Consultant role at NTT Data Business Solutions encompasses a multifaceted scope, blending technical expertise with strategic consultancy and client-focused support.

The primary responsibilities include:

 

Implementation Support: Engage in client implementation projects, troubleshoot challenging scenarios, and provide guidance to consultants. Assume lead consultant roles for distressed projects, ensuring smooth execution and resolution.

 

Technical Responsibilities: Configuring, testing, implementing, and maintaining SAP Business ByDesign systems. Act as the lead consultant in Supply processes, author solution design and technical requirement documents, and ensure the quality of technical developments.

 

Project Management and Client Interaction: Manage workloads, ensure timely project deliverables, and assist in planning timelines and resources for customer solutions. Provide timely responses to customer queries, create analytical reports, deliver training, and maintain comprehensive documentation for clients.

 

This role demands a versatile skill set, merging technical proficiency with strategic acumen, client-centricity, and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of SAP Business ByDesign expertise, strategic consultancy, project management, client engagement skills, embodying the “Cloud Mindset” throughout the project delivery.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support client implementation projects by troubleshooting and advising on challenging scenarios, supporting consultants or taking over as lead consultant for distressed projects.
• Support the SAP Business ByDesign Presales team by taking part in pre-project workshops, reviewing effort estimates, advising on processes or complex business requirements and reviewing statements of work.
• Provide assistance to the SAP Business ByDesign support team by helping to troubleshoot challenging support tickets, advising on resolutions or, where appropriate, taking ownership of the support ticket through to resolution.
• Work with the SAP Business ByDesign Project Managers, and Team Leads as necessary.
• Train or mentor other team members as part of their continuing professional development.
• Assist with the quality assurance of the work produced by SAP Business ByDesign practice team members.
• Have in-depth industry knowledge and be able to advise customers at a strategic level.
• Analyse customers’ requirements and map these to the SAP Business ByDesign solution.
• Support client implementation projects by configuring, unit testing, implementing, delivering and maintaining the SAP Business ByDesign system.
• Act as lead consultant on implementation projects, within own areas of expertise of Supply Chain and project accounting processes.
• Responsible for authoring solution design documents within own areas of expertise.
• Responsible for authoring functional specification documents for solutions that require SAP Business ByDesign SDK or SAP BTP developments to meet customer/project requirements.
• Responsible for signing-off technical developments before handing to the customer for UAT.
• Primarily responsible for managing own workload, requesting additional project work or support tickets when quiet to achieve departmental utilisation targets and ensuring, in conjunction with project managers and the practice lead, that project deliverables are completed on time and to schedule and assist in planning the timelines and resources required to implement customer solutions.
• Provides answers to customer queries by identifying problems, researching answers and guiding the customer through any corrective steps and responding in a timely fashion.
• Create analytical reports and data sources as necessary.
• Deliver training to customers as necessary.
• Responsible for writing and maintaining quality documentation that will be presented to clients.
• Improve system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• SAP Expertise: Proficiency in SAP Business ByDesign, including configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation, with a strong focus on Supply Chain. Project accounting processes will be advantageous.
• Consultancy Skills: Strong consultancy background with an emphasis on the “Cloud Mindset” to advise clients strategically, map requirements to solutions, and support troubled projects effectively.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, leading workshops, and mentoring team members.
• Problem-solving: Ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot effectively, and provide timely and innovative solutions.
• Project Management: Experience managing workloads, meeting project deadlines, and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure project success.
• Documentation: Capability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including solution designs and technical requirements.
