We're builders who hold a high bar, move fast, and care deeply about each other and our customers.📌 About the RoleWe're hiring a Staff Cloud Networking Engineer to own cloud networking across our engineering organization, the first dedicated networking role at Scribe. You'll architect, build, and operate the network foundation that our platform and product teams depend on, starting with IPv6-native VPC architecture and IPv6 networking for our EKS workloads, and set the long-term technical direction as we scale across cloud providers.🛠️ What You'll DoDesign and deploy IPv6-native VPC architecture and bring up IPv6 networking for our EKS workloadsDefine the long-term strategy for how we address, connect, and scale our network, including across cloud providersEstablish the standards other teams build against as the org's first networking specialistServe as the authority on cloud networking decisions across engineeringRaise the networking competency of the engineers around youArchitect how we connect across clouds as our footprint expands beyond AWS🔍 What We're Looking ForYou've designed and operated AWS networking in production at scaleYou have strong, vendor-agnostic networking fundamentals: IP addressing and subnetting (IPv4 and IPv6), routing, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, and NATYou've set technical direction across an organization, establishing standards and influencing without authorityYou've deployed and troubleshot IPv6 in a cloud or large network environment, not just read about itYou have production experience with core cloud networking primitives: VPCs, transit/peering, IPAM, and private connectivityYou have Kubernetes networking experience, ideally with EKS, including CNI behavior and addressing at the pod, service, and ingress levels✨ Nice to haveHands-on experience with multi-cloud connectivity toolingExperience with multi-account/multi-project cloud environments (AWS Organizations, Control Tower, landing zones, or equivalents)Network security and compliance experienceAWS certifications (Advanced Networking – Specialty or similar)📍 LocationRemote or hybrid, based in the Pacific time zone (USA). 💰 CompensationSalary varies by location.
