Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. - Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and/or staff at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; report access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying emergency services and/or site contacts when directed.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
