The Opportunity

Reporting to the Internal Mobility Manager ANZ, this role sits within the Energy & Utilities Talent & Development team, part of the broader People & Culture function. The position plays a critical role in supporting workforce change, redeployment and employee transition activities across the business, helping retain valuable talent and deliver positive outcomes for both employees and operational leaders.

As our Senior Internal Mobility Business Partner, you will work closely with operational leaders, People & Culture and Talent Acquisition teams to identify suitable redeployment opportunities, support employees impacted by organisational change and ensure positive transition experiences. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees alike, balancing commercial outcomes with a culture of care. 

While redeployment and workforce transition are key priorities today, this role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued evolution of Internal Mobility across Energy & Utilities, helping to embed best practice talent movement, career development and succession initiatives into the future. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead redeployment and career transition activities across Energy & Utilities, supporting employees through periods of change.
  • Partner with business leaders, People & Culture and Talent Acquisition teams to identify and secure suitable internal opportunities. 
  • Conduct detailed career and skills conversations with employees to understand their experience, aspirations and mobility options. 
  • Support complex workforce planning and demobilisation activities, ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience. 
  • Use workforce data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities that strengthen retention and talent outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Success in this role requires equal parts stakeholder influence, commercial thinking and empathy.

  • Experience in redeployment, talent acquisition, workforce planning, internal mobility or a related People & Culture discipline. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence outcomes with leaders at multiple levels. 
  • Experience supporting employees through workforce change, career transitions or organisational restructures. 
  • Strong communication, relationship management and problem-solving skills. 
  • A genuine passion for employee advocacy, talent retention and helping people navigate change successfully.
