Job Description
As a Security Guard Full Time Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in CHICAGO, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
