Structural Heart Business Mission: Why we exist
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
Head of SI (Structural Intervention) is to lead the sales and marketing activities and deliver the target sales and margin for the SI franchise.
Head of SH Commercial Operations is a central function responsible for maximizing the performance of the commercial organization by integrating operations, governance, and execution support. This role drives business growth by ensuring sales admin efficiency, process standardization, and compliance, while leading initiatives such as channel strategy, pricing and rebate programs, GPO management, and cross-divisional collaboration.
Head of SI Franchise
Leading the sales and marketing organization with clear vision and strategy, deliver the sales and margin target.
Propose Annual Operating Plan with action plan and execute the sales and marketing strategy for the SI franchise in close collaboration with the Japan SH GM including delivering accurate sales forecast regularly
Hire, train and retain talents within the sales and marketing teams
Collaborate with other franchises to maximize the output as overall SH
Ensure compliance to all the Abbott processes and with the regulation in the healthcare industry in Japan
Head of SH Division Commercial Operations
Design and manage approval processes (pricing, customer events etc)
Standardize and improve sales administration processes
Compliance & Governance
Establish and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with internal policies and regulations
Support audits and risk management activities
Strengthen governance through approval frameworks
Channel & Distributor Management
Develop and execute channel and distributor strategies across franchises
Monitor performance (sales, activities, KPIs)
Manage contracts and support negotiations
Design and operate incentive and rebate programs
GPO & Key Hospital Group Support
Develop GPO strategies and manage contracts
Ensure proper execution of contract terms
Cross-divisional Collaboration
Collaborate with other divisions such as EP, CRM, VAS
Drive cross-divisional initiatives and projects
EDUCATION/TRAINING
Minimum Requirements
Degree in Business, Science, Bio-Science, Health-Science or Pharmacy
Preferred Requirement
Additional degree in a different area is a plus. (E.g. Bachelor in scientific area plus an MBA)
Knowledge of device business in cardiology is preferred.
Experience Required
Sales and Marketing Experience in Medical Device
People Management
Experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, or related roles
Strong process design and improvement skills
Data analysis and KPI management capabilities
