Manager Financial Due Diligence

AmsterdamFull-timePosted Jun 30, 2026

Job Description & Summary

Are you ready to guide clients through complex deals and help them make well-founded decisions? Do you want to work on transactions where your financial insight, stakeholder management and leadership make a direct difference?

As a Manager Financial Due Diligence at PwC, you work on mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and refinancing processes for a wide range of clients. You combine financial analysis with commercial insight and help clients understand value drivers, risks, cash flow dynamics and deal-critical issues. In this role, you work on both buy-side and sell-side projects, coach team members and contribute to meaningful client outcomes in a fast paced Deals environment.

This is what you’ll do

You will be part of an inclusive team within our Deals practice, where collaboration, quality and innovation are central. Together with colleagues from Financial Due Diligence and specialists from Tax, Strategy, Carve-out, Synergy and IT, you work on challenging transactions and support clients throughout the deal cycle.

As a Manager Financial Due Diligence, you help clients looking to buy a business, sell all or part of their business, refinance or list on stock exchanges through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Your work helps buyers understand what makes a transaction successful. You thoroughly assess a target company’s finances, consider the opportunities and risks, and identify potential deal issues. You also work with vendors; independently assessing businesses so that potential buyers can make informed decisions.

What exactly a financial due diligence process looks like depends entirely on the project. You will solve each problem with a tailor-made approach. Sometimes, a financial 'snapshot' of the company suffices, whereas at another time, the deal issue will only be visible on a very detailed X-ray. Depending on the client’s request, you look at the history or the projections of an organization. Each assignment will be completely different in terms of both content and process. In addition to your client work, you play an active role in leading project teams and supporting colleagues in their development. Next to this, you:

  • Lead financial due diligence projects for buy-side, sell-side, refinancing and IPO processes;

  • Analyse historical and projected financial information, including cash flow, working capital and value drivers;

  • Identify deal issues, risks and opportunities and translate these into clear client recommendations;

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including colleagues from tax, strategy, carve-out, synergy and IT;

  • Coach and support team members in their day-to-day work and professional growth.

You recognize yourself in this

You work in a structured and collaborative way, know how to keep overview in complex projects and communicate clearly with different stakeholders. You enjoy developing others, take ownership in your work and bring sound judgment to both analysis and client discussions. Furthermore:

  • You have experience in financial due diligence within an advisory environment, or relevant experience in analysing financial information, risks, opportunities and projections;

  • You have a university degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field, complemented by a completed RA, RC or CFA Level III qualification;

  • You have strong analytical, Excel and reporting skills;

  • You have strong project management skills and enjoy working in international and multidisciplinary teams;

  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
