Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a one‑year fixed‑term assignment to support a complex industrial hydraulics project. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and close‑out of project activities, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role requires strong cross‑functional coordination, disciplined project controls, and proactive risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Schedule Control
- Develop, maintain, and manage an integrated master schedule, including milestone tracking and critical‑path management.
- Monitor progress against plan, identify schedule risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Cost Management & Forecasting
- Establish and maintain project cost controls, budgets, and forecasts.
- Track commitments, actuals, and variances, ensuring clear financial visibility and timely escalation of issues.
- Support change management activities related to scope, schedule, and cost impacts.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactively.
- Develop mitigation plans and escalate critical risks in alignment with governance requirements.
- Maintain risk registers and ensure continuous monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality & Safety Management
- Support and enforce quality and safety programs in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure inspections, audits, and compliance activities are completed as required.
- Promote a strong safety culture with a goal of zero incidents.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Provide structured communication to internal and external stakeholders through regular status reports, meetings, and project reviews.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, and site teams to ensure alignment.
- Prepare clear, concise documentation for leadership updates and decision‑making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial, manufacturing, energy, or hydraulics‑related environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing schedules, budgets, and risks on technically complex projects.
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, or similar).
- Familiarity with industrial hydraulics, mechanical systems, or heavy industrial equipment is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident in working with cross‑functional and multidisciplinary teams.
- Results‑oriented with a high level of attention to detail.
