What You Can Expect

Implement next generation software architecture and firmware design. Develop firmware for HBM, DDR memory training, and SoC IP initialization for Photonic SoC. Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems. Perform board bring-up/power-on of SoCs received from the FAB. Bring up firmware/driver stack in pre-silicon environments such as simulation, emulation, and hybrid models. Develop scripts for backdoor loading of firmware images and dumping waveforms in the emulation environment. Set up the emulation environment, testbench and IO’s integration to emulator. Debug hardware issue and firmware bugs and provide code fixes for these issues. Perform code coverage, memory profiling, and performance analysis of firmware and software. Optimize boot time, implement hooks in firmware to measure time and optimize code to reduce boot time in firmware stack and OS load. Bring up the developed firmware on emulator. Perform power analysis of overall SoC/Hardware using MIPS probe, and performance analysis of SoC and individual IP’s using Benchmarking tools. Work with architecture team on features debug and enhancements. Work with architecture and microarchitecture teams on current issues and future feature changes and fixes in the SoC/hardware. Responsible for documentation of software specifications, data sheets, and other technical documents. Wage $193,000.00 - $233,000.00 per year.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related occupation.

Experience must include five (5) years with each of the following:

•    Performing tuning, memory management optimization, and low-level driver development for ARM-based systems.
•    Developing and debugging drivers and firmware.
•    Programming, debugging, and troubleshooting using C/C++ and ARM Assembly (ASM).
•    ARM firmware, BSP, and bring up process.
•    32-bit/64-bit in ARM v8 architecture.
•    Firmware, BIOS/UEFI, Linux, or Windows software development.
•    Hardware interfaces (such as SPI, I2C, DDR3/4/5, or PCIe).
•    JTAG, TRACE32, or OpenOCD debuggers.
