All Jobs  >  Maintenance Engineering Co-Op Apply Maintenance Engineering Co-Op Germantown, WI Apply Description  Now Hiring: Maintenance Engineering Co-OpPay: $25.00 - $30.00Position OverviewReporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineering Co-Op provides a hands-on learning opportunity for current college students or recent graduates pursuing an Engineering or Technical degree. This role offers practical experience in maintenance operations, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced aseptic food manufacturing environment. Working alongside experienced maintenance professionals, the Co-Op will support equipment maintenance, reliability initiatives, and improvement projects that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance while developing valuable technical and professional skills.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On MaintenanceAssist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems.Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment.Perform equipment inspections, calibrations, and routine maintenance under supervision.Participate in safety programs including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and OSHA compliance activities.Assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning projects.Utilize the CMMS to enter, update, and close maintenance work orders.Engineering & Improvement ProjectsLead assigned Co-Op projects from planning through completion, presenting recommendations and results to plant leadership.Support preventive maintenance optimization, spare parts management, and equipment reliability initiatives.Analyze maintenance performance data, including downtime, work orders, and OEE metrics, to identify improvement opportunities.Participate in Kaizen events, 5S activities, root cause analysis, and other continuous improvement efforts.Assist with developing and updating SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance documentation.Collaborate with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technical Services teams on projects that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. Requirements Minimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.Completion of at least one year of relevant coursework preferred.Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems through coursework or hands-on experience.Strong interest in manufacturing equipment and maintenance.Self-motivated with a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.Strong communication and presentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and inclusive team.Prior manufacturing experience is not   Salary Description $25.00 - $30.00 hourly Apply View All Jobs
