The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the repair, service, and commissioning of MDTotco products. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment. The successful candidate will provide training to clients, respond promptly to calls, and adhere to NOV's Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
- Complete installations, upgrades, and repairs of MDTotco products.
- Conduct daily operations, maintenance, and monitoring of MDTotco equipment for optimal performance.
- Provide daily activity reports and ensure accurate documentation.
- Clean, test, and repair parts/systems as assigned, maintaining a high standard of equipment readiness.
- Deliver training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance practices.
- Respond promptly to calls and requests, ensuring a fast and efficient service without compromising safety.
- Comply with all NOV Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and policies.
- Read and interpret instrumentation drawings accurately, ensuring correct cable connections.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in field service engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Basic networking skills and the ability to read electrical connections diagrams.
- Strong background in instrumentation or a related field.
- Completed classes in basic electricity and electronics, with a focus on safety practices.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for work assignments.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
