Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a SCM Project Leader.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for strengthening supply chain resilience by proactively identifying supplier-related risks that may impact continuity, quality, and delivery performance. The position leads the development and implementation of mitigation strategies, including contingency planning, alternate sourcing, and inventory buffers, to ensure uninterrupted operations. Additionally, the role maintains ongoing monitoring and continuous improvement of risk mitigation plans in alignment with business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Cost-Out: Lead cost-out initiatives across the supply base through sourcing, negotiations, value engineering, and productivity improvements. Own the cost-out pipeline and maintain a robust plan to achieve annual savings targets while preserving quality, service, and supply continuity.

Category Strategy Alignment & Regional Execution: Partner with Category Managers to develop and execute sourcing strategies, providing regional market insights and supply risk assessments to ensure the right strategy is implemented for each region while supporting cost, quality, and continuity objectives.

Risk Identification & Assessment: Identify and prioritize supplier risks to continuity, quality, and delivery through regular data-driven assessments and analysis of key vulnerabilities.

Mitigation Strategy Development: Develop and implement contingency plans, such as multi-sourcing, safety stock optimization, and supplier diversification, while collaborating with Operations and Quality to embed resilience into procurement strategies.

Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Maintain and review mitigation plans, track risk exposure with KPIs and dashboards, and lead regular cross-functional risk review meetings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to align on risk mitigation, provide resiliency guidance in sourcing and onboarding, and support crisis response during disruptions.

Governance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with supply chain risk policies, report risk exposure and mitigation to leadership, and drive adoption of business continuity best practices. Is responsible to meeet with EBS Procurement Excellence requirements.

Qualifications:

Education level required Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree (preferred).

Years and area of experience required • 5–8+ years in supply chain, sourcing, or risk management. • Experience in supplier risk assessment and business continuity planning. • Strong background in procurement and supply chain operations. • Strong project management expertise with a process- and systems-oriented mindset, enabling sound decision-making in ambiguous situations. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong negotiation skills.

Technical knowledge • Strategic thinking with strong analytical capabilities. • Risk assessment and scenario planning. • Data analysis and reporting (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools). • Advanced PC proficiency (MS Office, MS Project, AS400, Outlook, SAP). • Knowledge of supply chain risk management frameworks and business continuity planning.

Scope of Responsibilities: Supply Chain / Procurement / Sourcing department. Hybrid or office-based depending on company policy. Travel to sites or suppliers as required.
