Position Summary

The Overhaul Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficiency, productivity, safety, and overall execution of overhaul operations within their assigned region. This position leads regional overhaul activities by partnering with Area Managers, Overhaul Technicians, and internal teams to ensure compressor overhaul projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to customer expectations. The Overhaul Regional Manager works closely with the Regional Director to report on project performance, maintenance activities, customer needs, and operational improvements to support Kodiak’s continued success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees regional overhaul operations and ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Partners with Area Managers to coordinate overhaul planning, execution, and completion.
  • Ensures overhaul projects meet company standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Interacts with regional Sales teams and attends customer meetings as needed to support project planning, customer relationships, and operational success.
  • Reviews project scope, timelines, labor requirements, materials, and resources to support successful execution.
  • Monitors regional overhaul performance metrics and provides updates to Regional Director.
  • Supports troubleshooting and escalation of complex unit maintenance and overhaul-related issues.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to Area Managers and field teams supporting overhaul operations.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on compressor overhaul processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes, reduce downtime, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Maintains strong customer and internal relationships through effective communication and field support.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Education, Experience, & Training

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in compression, oil and gas, industrial services, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Valid driver license with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within the acceptable parameters of company policy, required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, maintenance procedures, and equipment specifications.

Skills and Competencies  

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop Area Managers and Field Service Technicians.
  • Strong understanding of gas compression equipment, overhaul processes, maintenance practices, and field service operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve complex operational issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute overhaul projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational and financial data to drive performance improvements.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced field environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and company-related systems.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Physical Demands

  • Up to 50% travel
  • Must be able to stand or walk on uneven terrain
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions and environments on a location-by-location basis
  • High noise environment (>85 dbA) will occur with ear protection
  • Potential controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Standing, sitting, walking for long periods of time
  • Climb stairs and ladders
